yes

newgrounds needs it's own superjail series, this is it. this could be the thing that puts newgrounds on the map. not really, but this is damn good and i can't wait for more episodes of superjail, and episodes of this.

Alpha-Nuva responds:

fuck yeah! i watched a few episodes of superjail about a year ago. it's funny because people egged me on to make a show like that and then this comes about. funny how life works like that.

needs original material

i laughed pretty damn hard at the horiatio jokes, that was great. but i felt like you were taking too much from south park. south park is funny and all, i get the joke cuz pico's got orange hair, but if you're gonna do a robot chicken thing where you string a bunch of unrelated jokes together, at least make a lot of them so compensate for jokes that aren't as funny, usually with the best saved for first and last.

RWA responds:

Thanks for the review, but I don't see how I took anything from South Park...if you're referring to the "Gingers have souls" part, it is a parody of a viral YouTube video by CopperCab which SP also parodied.

I arranged the "jokes" by following the original plot, not by the level of humor. Maybe I should've arranged them differently...thanks for the tip! :)

HOLY SHIT

I LOVE IT

that freaked me out, at first it's all happy and after you changed the mood for the first time (around when they're were getting their faces smashed) once it got to there i woke up and went "wait wat....wat happened". then after i finished realizing what was going on i was at the part when the kid was trying to escape and that's when i started to have this overwhelming feeling of terror with my world around me in mind.

and i love that dynamic you used in the music. you make a warm feeling with the music accompanied with happy images and then once you began to comment on reality you made it feel slightly uneasy. then you go back to the happy feeling music with uneasy images to make me feel a little safe (but freaked out). then once the kid is running, you repeat the words from when i felt safe and happy but make me feel horribly terrified. in a way it chronologically tells the story of our childhoods.

i absolutley love it, love it love it love it. (how ironic is it that i use the word love?)

Comick responds:

Haha thanks man for the great review! I'm so glad you felt it as the way you described :) I wanted that build up from cute happy world decaying into reality to come out well and I'm glad to see it did! Thanks again

kickass

while this isn't a flash movie like most newgrounds videos are required to be, you're the US army so i'll let you slide in my book. and this is fucking awesome.

but remember, loose lips sink ships, and i mean it. don't tell anyone where this took place specifically or what you shot the friggin shit out of specifially, keep it vague.

glenimusprime responds:

my brother took this fighting for us to live free from terror. he never told me where it was taken.

eeeeeeeh

i'm not sure why this has a 4/5, its got a lot of wholes. you get a 5 because you put working into tracing everything, but minus 5 for poor storytelling

first, this isn't T2, this is a super random fan fiction not related what so ever to T2 (no offense, i'm sure it was a good idea). of course, there's always the sarah conner chronicles which i think there was a girl terminator (but no john conner). now that that's out of the way, on with the WALL OF TEXT

at first, i thought this was gonna be more trolling, but it started and i thought "holy crap, cool!" then the weak/quiet and random voice acting came in, the unexplained random action started, and i was confused as to what was going on, much like the phantom menace

in the phantom menace. people are talking about stuff but i have no concept of what it is because it was long and meaningless. in this case, short and pointless (and i couldn't hear it). the action sequences in phantom menace are really random, i have no idea why anyone's shooting anyone. same case here, why is john conner and a chick terminator wanted for terrorism? usually if the terminator is helping john conner, they're fighting an evil terminator, not people. why are anti-terrorist units after john conner and chick terminator? who's the bad guy; the cops or john conner? why's anyone shooting anyone? why is there a hole in the building? these kind of things need to be set-up through expository so the audience knows who's who and why they should keep watching and not sue the movie theatre for selling them tickets to phantom menace.

i don't wanna start an anti-anime flame war, but it's a little unavoidable. unless your a major studio with funding like the groups who worked on halo legends, don't attempt anime, and halo legends shouldn't of attempted either. anime is an eastern culture thing, japanese and stuff, where as master chief and the terminator are western culture. usually when anime tries western culture type action, dialouge ends up sounding really silly. (i.e. that cop with the glasses going "kick ass" and chuckling after blowing up the chick terminator) i don't know how japan's police force operates, but in america, sending a rocket into a room where 3 of your men are still alive just to kill one unkillable person is definitely not something you make a chuckle at when it's over, instead, the chief would yell at whoever shot the rocket for team killing.

the animation was....pretty damn choppy, but i let that kind of thing pass because i know making flash movies is a bitch. but there were some parts that could use some editing, like when the 3 swat troops are shooting her face off. at first, she starts bleeding (the terminators don't bleed, the skin tissue is like, rubber or something) then 2 seconds later, she's not bleeding. then for what felt like 5 minutes, it the same bullets shooting off the same fake flesh off the same part of the same face they've been shooting at. when the audience see's bullets scratch off skin to reveal robot parts, they don't need to see anymore, it becomes evident that the cops realize she's a robot. instead of reminding the audience that she's bullet proof, show the audience the chief's reaction to finding out she's a robot (and his reaction wasn't very realistic, another problem with anime, acting is always bad oooooooh! speed racer for example).

my advice, go watch some action movies. not anime like ghost in the shell or samurai shamploo (which were good because there's no f**king fan's drooling over it). watch some western culture made action movies, like die hard, platoon, back to the future, etc, mostly classic 80's films. these movies demonstrate good storytelling, which means a hell of a lot more than the action itself (i'm look at you when i say this micheal bay, number four was ugh)

so stay away from being bland and dry, make the audience wanna root for the main character from the moment they meet him/her until the end of the story. don't just start shooting unless you're a super director like christopher nolan or something.

i swear, longest post ever

DangerousBob responds:

woo thats a big comment. All I'm going to say is that I'm very flattered your reading so much into this.

meeeh

this was....eeh, i didn't find it funny. johnny utah's iron man sketch in this MvC3 parody series was funny as hell b/c utah has that obnoxious sense of humor, which totally fits tony stark. the wolverine one luis did was pretty funny too b/c it was wolverine, a total badass, giving you the 'drill sargent treats you like utter shit' treatment, which somewhat fits wolverine and makes it funny (but not as funny as the utah's iron man)

but this was, ugh, i don't get it. it was very middle school humor. if i were 12 or 11, i'd be laughing pretty hard. but i'm not, i'm 17 and i laugh at witty humor (thank god for british television). ok, she hulk's got massive titties despite them being normal size compared to her BMI when she's she-hulk. that's just not something i'd think Cpt. America would say. if you had made captain america say something funny within his character, like hear a door close and suddenly go crazy with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (or commonly known as shell shock syndrom) while he was giving his speech, that'd be pretty damn funny. or maybe if Cpt. America said something slandering the japanese characters like "those foreign invaders are placing the lives of the american people at risk! we need to drop atom bombs on them!!!" that'd be funny.

but alas, this is newgrounds, witty humor is bleak and is reserved for the higher thinking....

MindChamber responds:

Sorry, not all of us can be as mature and full of themselves as you are.

Ill try harder next time.

holy shit, THAT WAS AWESOME!!!

that was f**king EPIC!!! robots vs. ninjas vs. robot ninjas vs. futuristic AC130 is JUST the series i wanna see on newgrounds. CAN'T WAIT FOR THE NEXT ONE!!!

Jess-The-Dragoon responds:

Hope you like the game too.

jesus f***king christ dude,

that was the most horrifically creepiest thing i have ever seen sense i saw Rob Zombie's "House of a Thousand Corpses". there was a point half in the video where i actually felt a strong shiver coarse through my arms making the hairs on my arms stand up on end. if this was your first attempt at MX flash, then jesus, it was good.

i read your post, and yes, i hope your future projects get the same response to. keep up the good work, and maybe watch that rob zombie movie for a bit of inspiration if you're gonna keep making creepy short stories.

i especially liked how you started off by describing the setting through the bug's point of view, a classic horror movie element i see used time to time.

10 stars, voted 5, loved it, and i'm DYING to see more!

JohnDavidHeptinstall responds:

Haha I'm a big fan of both House of 1000 corpses and The Devil's Rejects - I absolutely love those films - Thanks very much for the vote and the support!

i see a lot of values here, amazing

i love what you've done here, you've taken stick figure fighting and turned it into a life lesson that everyone here on newgrounds can learn from, the power of words. i'm really looking forward to seeing what comes after this, i really am. heads up though, try to make the words just a bit more legible, i'm having some trouble reading some of it. keep up the good work! i hope to see the next one soon!

jenno1 responds:

Thx 4 ya review!

that was awesome

heh heh heh, silly swat team, doesn't even throw a flash bang in there, epic fail. anyway, that was awesome, amazing job, did you do that all by yourself or did you have other people helping you out? (if that was all you, that's amazing!)

Swished responds:

Everything is made by me.
Thanks for the review =D

i'm not the jesus of suburbia / i'm not the enemy / my name is jake eagle / the victor of society!
